Las Vegas Neil Diamond Tribute Show

Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency continues in the “MODERN SHOWROOMS” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.

The legendary Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in rock and pop music history.

More than just being one of the best-selling and concert drawing artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.

In early 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond retired from touring Neil Diamond tribute show Las Vegas after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences throughout the world through tribute artist Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.

Ask Alexa “who is the top Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his idol, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.

In May 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, two years later, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from lead singer of a cover band to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his childhood heroes.

In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a three-year residency.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to go independent.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.

Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in the year 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has appeared at more Vegas stages than any other.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
